This fantastic new product from Joraform makes it easy and convenient to compost in your neighbourhood! The JK5100 commercial composter is an entirely new type of compost machine, with a unique mixing function. This fully automatic composting machine has a capacity of up to 100 households, a large restaurant or complex or even a hospital.

Fully equipped with a shredder, which is necessary for effective and rational composting, the JK-5100 Commercial Composter consists of two chambers which let the post-composting take place inside the bin, which in turn means that the compost is ready to be used immediately after emptying.

A : This is a large apartment complex in Oslo, Norway with 1200 apartments. They operate 12 units of the JK-5100 Commercial Composter to handle the household waste.

B : In the apartment complex in Oslo, the JK-5100's are installed in the basement instead of external houses. The ventilation is connected to the central waste water system.

C : The beautiful Mauritzberg Hotel in Sweden has had a JK-5100 installed since 2001. They add all the foodwaste from the restaurant and use the compost for the local gardens.

D : This is an installation in Falkenberg, Sweden. This tenant-ownership society have 4 similar environmental houses with one of the JK-5100 Commercial Composters in each house.

E : This is an environmental house in Gothenburg, Sweden. Here they are sorting all kinds of household waste and use a JK-5100 Composter for processing.

F : Inside the Environmental House in Gothenburg, you can see the unit installed. The ventilation is connected to the building's central waste water system.

The chute is placed conveniently, particularly for those who may be chairbound.

Robustly constructed, the body is made of stainless steel and all moving parts are replaceable for optimal working life. Grinding, mixing and aeration operations are variable and controlled in a programmable unit in the wall-mounted control panel, thus enabling the machine to be easily adapted for optimal composting of the particular waste stream.

Optimal Results

For obtaining the best possible end product with perfect hygiene, the composter has two chambers.

All of the waste is processed through the grinder before it reaches the first chamber, called the Process Chamber, where the waste is treated and aired with a superior mixing technique.

After about 2 weeks, the mixing mechanism passes the material into the second chamber to finalise the ripening process. The second chamber is equipped with a separate mixing function.

An important part of Joraform’s environmental policy is to develop products that can be manufactured from recycled or recyclable material. The JK 5100 receptacles are made of 100% recycled household plastic containers.
